Mitch and Andrea’s wedding was a dream, and even started as a one. Especially for this type A, timeline-driven photographer.
Upon our arrival to their absolutely stunning venue, the Wyndham Chicago Hotel (new favorite view of the city), Andrea was completely on time with her hair and make up, the girls were dress and ready, and all of her perfect details were laid out ready to shoot. No stress, no crunch for time, no plan B discussions because we were behind. Smooth.
Their first look and portrait locations encapsulated Chicago with the gold doors, Chicago skyline and gorgeous architecture. Be still my heart. I will never forget that sunset view of the Marina Towers and Trump tower during cocktail hour that I took two seconds to pause and truly take in. And I was able to have that pause because the entire day was STILL smooth sailing and on time.
I am so grateful for these two. For taking the time to ask how my husband was doing in school, hugs at the end of the night, and that follow up “thank you email” that I live for. Mitch and Andrea, thank you for the gift of capturing your wedding day and making it so easy on us. I hope marriage is everything you’ve been looking forward to since we met over lunch almost a year ago. xo
